Taliban shot down Helicopter 

Up to 17 crew members feared dead. In addition:
US forces will be wary of using more helicopters in the rescue effort for fear they too could be attacked, says the BBC's Andrew North, who is at the US base where the search is being co-ordinated.
What's the point of having helicopters then? Obviously, you don't want to get shot down and lose the chopper/soldiers, but that's a risk that has to be taken, to save lives on the battlefield. Does that mean the Taliban have successfully ended all helicopter rescue operations in Afghanistan? According to Flightsuit Boy, we won that war long ago...
